I received a call from a very frustrated potential buyer on yesterday. They were very interested in properties on certain roads to the north of Great Yarmouth and had been in the area over the weekend looking at property. They had returned home to find an email from me with a new instruction we had listed on the Thursday. As this property didn’t have a board and as they had no access to emails when in Great Yarmouth, they have now had to book a viewing for this coming weekend and make a trip back. If this property had a board it may well have been viewed and bought by this couple on Saturday just gone. For sale boards are important marketing tools. Yes they are great for agents too but that is not the sole reason for having them. Also viewers from boards can be the most motivated you get as they may have been waiting for a property to come for sale on a road for some time.
Congratulations to Beatrix Nicholls who is Aldreds employee of the month for July. Nominated by Lynsay in our Lowestoft office. Beatrix has excelled in many diverse roles through July in Lowestoft office while combining her Lowestoft duties with a new role in our Gorleston office. Well done B!
Why not pop along to our open days at St Mary’s in Lowestoft this weekend? We are open 10am till 1pm Saturday & Sunday for viewings without bookings. With approx. 50% of the site already sold time is running out to secure one of the stunning new builds and conversions. Many have sea views!
Congratulations to Melissa Richeda office manager of our Gorleston branch who is employee of the month for June. Nominated by Katharine Wood. Melissa got a succession of difficult sales to exchange through June including a sale on Station Road South on Belton. Through all the tough negotiations Melissa kept both our client and purchaser up to date and had some fantastic feedback! Well done Mel!
Shocking research has revealed that in some areas first time buyers would have to save for 10 and a half years to put together a 15% deposit. The good news is that with house prices being below average over here in the Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft areas it shouldn’t take that long. With properties in good condition available for less than £100,000 and with 95% mortgages available home ownership is a far more realistic aim for young people in North Suffolk and East Norfolk. Coupled with an improving local economy and transport links we hope to help many more first time buyers purchase their first homes over the next few months.
